WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Pueblo County, Colorado, is responsible pursuant to C.R.S. § 24-54-107, to appoint two (2) registered electors of Pueblo County to staggered four-year terms to the Pueblo County Board of Retirement; and
WHEREAS, public notice soliciting applications from persons interested in serving on the Pueblo County Board of Retirement was published in The Pueblo Chieftain on May 10, 2019 and again on May 12, 2019, and the Board received one (1) application in response to said public notice; and
WHEREAS, this Board, having reviewed the aforementioned application, desires to reappoint Judy A. Martinez, to the Pueblo County Board of Retirement for a four-year term, effective immediately and expiring June 15, 2023, who will serve at the pleasure of the Board of County Commissioners of Pueblo County, Colorado; and
WHEREAS, this Board has determined the reappointment of Judy A. Martinez would be in the best interest of the employees and citizens of Pueblo County, and the current Retirement Board members unanimously recommend that Judy A. Martinez be reappointed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Pueblo County, Colorado, that Judy A. Martinez is hereby reappointed as a member of the Pueblo County Board of Retirement for a four-year term, effective immediately and expiring June 15, 2023, and the staff to the Board is authorized and directed to provide notice of this reappointment to the Pueblo County Board of Retirement by providing them with a copy of this Resolution.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 25th day of February 2020, in Pueblo County, Colorado.
